El lugar del verde

Fotografiando un apartamento de altos perteneciente a la colectividad judía en Montevideo, algo cautivó mi atención: una esquina repleta de palmas y plantas diversas, dispuestas como si de un escenario se tratase; perfectamente alineadas, enmarcadas por cortinas y falsas columnas, formaban un diseño casi cabalístico. Encontré en esa imagen una referencia y una excusa para estudiar fotográficamente cómo pensamos el verde.

The Place of Green
While taking photographs in a maisonette of the Jewish community something captivated my attention: a corner crammed with palms and various plants arranged as if on a stage; perfectly lined up, shaped in an almost cabalistic design. Something was hidden among those clattered leaves. I was intrigued about how they got there, and why they were put in that corner of a dining room where everything else seemed sober and rational.
